Why this exists

Money shouldn't be this confusing

I built CediSense because the financial advice I kept finding online wasn't written for me, or for anyone I knew growing up.

Why I started this

For a while, things were going well. Good money was coming in, and my spending grew to match it, which felt fine at the time because it always does. But I had no real framework for managing any of it, and I definitely had no plan for building anything lasting. I was just earning and spending, and hoping the two would somehow sort themselves out.

When they inevitably didn't, I decided to teach myself. I started reading, running numbers, and learning how local investments actually work: T-bills, fixed deposits, how susu fits in, and what inflation is quietly doing to money sitting in a savings account. The more I learned, the more I realised how much of this information existed but was either buried in jargon or written for someone in a completely different country with a completely different financial reality.

There's a Twi saying: Obi nnim a, obi kyerÉ›, which translates to "if someone does not know, someone teaches." That's what CediSense is. I'm building the financial knowledge I had to go looking for, and putting it somewhere young Ghanaians can actually find it. My goal is to build generational wealth for myself, and to show others the way at the same time.

We provide clear and honest information for Ghanaians who want to do better with their money, ensuring everything is free of jargon and unnecessary assumptions.

What I believe

Three things that shape every tool and article on this site

Context is everything

Generic money advice ignores the things that actually shape your finances here: transaction fees, family obligations, local investment options, inflation running ahead of your savings rate. CediSense is built around the Ghanaian reality, not someone else's.

Plain language, always

If I can't explain something in plain language, I haven't understood it well enough yet. Every guide, tool, and article here is written so that someone encountering the topic for the first time can actually follow it and come away knowing what to do next.

Empowering Education

CediSense gives you the information to make your own decisions instead of making them for you. Everything here is educational and serves as a foundation for your choices. I would rather give you the full picture and let you think than oversimplify in a way that costs you.
